Ben Moore is a classically trained guitarist who concentrates on contemporary fingerstyle, composition, and teaching. He’s from Cambridge but recently graduated the Music Performance program with honours (under the tutelage of Dr. Matthew Gould) at Cambrian College in Sudbury. He placed second in 2014’s OMFA provincials performing Grade 9 classical guitar and has received numerous high golds from Sudbury’s Kiwanis Music Festival in 2015.
Ben’s works include pieces for piano, orchestra, and guitar ensemble. Most recently he has released his debut album named “Exposed” (2014) which is contemporary fingerstyle.
With teaching, he studied 2 years of music pedagogy and guitar pedagogy. He’s become accustomed to guitar methods ranging from Suzuki to Aaron Shearer, teaching guitar classes with basic chord strumming, and even song writing. Ben’s pupil’s age range from 8-58. He will take you from zero to hero in no time!
Before college, Ben used to play in bands and write music for them. The styles he worked with range from Rock, Metal, and even Blues. That including Guitar solos, Drums, Song lyrics, Bass, etc.
