Jamie is a music student at Heritage College in Cambridge in the Bachelor of Church Music program. He has taught piano at various levels both privately, as well as teaching at Macey’s Conservatory of Music in Gatineau, Quebec.
Jamie began taking private lessons in piano at the age of 10, and obtained his RCM grade 10 in practical piano in high school. After 8 years of private lessons, he decided to further his musical education at Heritage College. Under to the mentorship of Dr. Doug Thomson, Jamie continued his musical education in elements of rudiments, harmony, and history, and is working on his ARCT in piano performance.
Classical Piano performance has always been his main musical pursuit, but Jamie also enjoys leading musical worship at his local church, rehearsing and directing choir, and accompanying choirs and other musical ensembles.
