Sam Petch is a classical guitarist based out of Cambridge. He has placed 1st in three local competitions in the past few years and received two scholarships – one from the Guelph Kiwanis Music Festival and one from the Kitchener-Waterloo Kiwanis Music Festival. The city of Cambridge presented him with an Arts award two years in a row.
He has been teaching music, including guitar, drums and theory for five years, and has a highly flexible and individual-based view on teaching. He performs at weddings and special events in the Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge-Guelph area and is currently studying classical guitar and composition at Wilfrid Laurier University, which presented him with two entrance scholarship.
Although he is primarily a classical guitarist, he also practiced rock music on drums and guitar since his early youth, and is quite comfortable teaching both genres.
